TNT Sports and the Mountain West Conference announced Monday a multi-year agreement to broadcast some of the league’s football games beginning this season.

Two of the Rams’ home games at Canvas Stadium in 2024 will be broadcast on TruTV, with start times for those games also to be announced. Those are the Sept. 21 matchup against UTEP, which will begin at 3 p.m., and the Oct. 12 game against San Jose State, which will begin at 1:30 p.m.

That leaves three games with times yet to be announced: the Sept. 7 home game against Northern Colorado, the Oct. 26 home game against New Mexico and the Nov. 29 (Friday) game at Utah State. While the time for the season finale against the Aggies has not been announced, it will air on FS1.

Kickoff times and broadcast allocations had already been announced for the season opener at Texas on Aug. 31 (1:30 p.m., ESPN), the Rocky Mountain Showdown against Colorado at Canvas Stadium on Sept. 14 (5:30 p.m., CBS) and the Oct. 5 game at Oregon State (4:30 p.m., The CW).

Previously announced start times for Mountain West games include the Oct. 19 game at Air Force (6 p.m., CBS Sports Network), the Nov. 2 game at Nevada (6 p.m., CBS Sports Network), the Border War game against Wyoming on Friday, Nov. 15 (6 p.m., CBS Sports Network) and the Nov. 23 game at Fresno State (8:30 p.m., CBS Sports Network).

Horton receives preseason recognition

CSU wide receiver Tory Horton earned a pair of preseason All-America selections ahead of the 2024 season.

Phil Steele’s College Preview has named Horton to its preseason All-America second team. Horton led CSU in 2023 with 96 receptions for 1,136 yards and eight touchdowns. His 94.7 yards per game were good enough for second in the Mountain West.

Steele also named several Rams to his preseason All-Mountain West/Pac 2 teams. The first team included quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, Horton, center Jacob Gardner, linebacker Chase Wilson and safety Jack Howell. The third team included guard Drew Moss, defensive tackle Cam Bariteau and punt return specialist Horton. The fourth team included offensive tackle Saveyon Henderson, defensive end Nuer Gatkuoth, safety Henry Blackburn and punter Paddy Turner.

Horton was also named a preseason third-team All-American by Athlon Sports and included in their preseason All-Mountain West/Pac 2 teams.

Athlon’s first team included Horton, Gardner, Moss, Howell and Wilson. Gatkouth, Blackburn and Horton (a punt return specialist) were on the second team. The third team included Fowler-Nicolosi, running back Justin Marshall, Bariteau, cornerback Dom Jones and kicker Jordan Noyes, while the fourth team included receiver Dylan Goffney, linebacker Buom Jock, Turner and punt return specialist Kobe Johnson.

Rams add future games to schedule

CSU announced Wednesday that it has added a home-and-away series against UTSA (Texas-San Antonio) and BYU to its future schedules.

The Rams will face the Roadrunners next season (2025) at Canvas Stadium before traveling to San Antonio in 2026. CSU will host BYU in 2026 before traveling to Provo in 2029.

CSU has lost an opponent for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The Rams had scheduled a home-and-away series against Texas Tech, but both teams mutually agreed to terminate the contract. The Rams will face Vanderbilt in Nashville in 2025 to make up for the canceled game during the 2020 season. The teams will forgo the home-and-away series they had scheduled for 2025 and 2026.

The Rams also added a game against Oklahoma in 2028. The schools agreed to do it in 2023.
