According to a report by Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch, Bayern Munich Bosses could be hesitant to offer Joshua Kimmich a new contract.
The German international would like to stay at the club and could even take a pay cut, but this situation may not come to an end until after Euro 2024:
Joshua Kimmich’s preference is to stay at Bayern, as long as he feels the club’s confidence and a salary agreement can be reached (Kimmich currently earns 20 million euros a year). However, Bayern officials have doubts. At the moment, there are no offers from any club. A final decision is not expected until after the Euro Cup.
The new regime in the presidency seems to have a plan, but does it include Kimmich? We should find out in the next few weeks.
