Scott Hanson lit up on a TikTok streamer who was digging into a car accident where the NFL RedZone host was attending to witnesses.
Earlier this week, a video went viral showing a person driving through a truck that had overturned in an apparent accident, discovering a watermelon inside, and encountering a man who approached and confronted him, asking, “Dude, what’s wrong?” You are doing?”.
X’s account, IcyVert, saw the video on TikTok, took it to X and asked, “BRO, THAT SCOTT HANSON?!”
Hanson finally intervened.
“Yes, I’m fine. I was a witness, I wasn’t in either car.” he wrote.
“Terrible accident. I checked on the survivors and then I saw that wagon trying to exploit the situation for their social media. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I was/am. Disheartening.”
In a separate post on XHanson again clarified that both drivers were fine, “(or) out of shock, maybe.”
While Hanson has been diligently counting down the weekends until RedZone returns to our televisions: 13, starting this past sunday — sports fans will be able to see him as he is one of the hosts of “Gold Zone” on NBC’s coverage of the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
“The Olympic Games are unlike any other sporting event: up to 40 competitions are held simultaneously. Given that scale, ‘Gold Zone’ is designed to be the viewer’s best friend, broadcasting the biggest moments in real time,” NBC Sports executive Molly Solomon said in a statement when the package was announced.
He named several other presenters in the announcement.
“Never miss a moment or a medal with ‘Gold Zone,’ and who better to guide viewers through this entertaining presentation than Scott Hanson, who does this every NFL weekend, and Olympic veterans Andrew Siciliano, Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila,” Solomon said. .
