Miller joins New Hampshire basketball team

University of New Hampshire Men’s Basketball Head Coach Natalie Davis announced the incorporation of the assistant coach Matt Miller to the squad for the 2024-25 season.

“I am excited to welcome Matt to the Wildcat basketball family,” Davis said. “He brings tremendous experience and knowledge to our program and will be a great asset in helping develop our student-athletes both on and off the court.”

Miller joins the Wildcats from Loyola, Maryland, where he spent the 2023-24 season. Prior to Loyola, Miller was an assistant at Mount St. Mary’s University for five seasons (2019-23) and helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament in 2021.

His other college coaching experience includes a stint (2014) as a head assistant at Division II Shepherd University (Shepherdstown, W.Va.), where Miller helped the Rams to a 20-10 record, their best in more than 20 years. In his role as recruiting coordinator, he led efforts to bring two 1,000-point scorers and three all-conference players to the school.

Miller attended St. Mary’s College and was a three-year student-athlete and team captain for one year. He twice won the Capital Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Award.

Miller earned her bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s in 2005 with a double major in economics and public policy, and graduated with her Master’s degree in Health and ESOL Education from Marymount in 2008.
