It’s time to start preparing for 2024 Syracuse Orange Football season. We’ll be going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player while meeting plenty of new faces to kick off the Fran Brown Era.
The next is….
Name: Lysander Moeolo
Position: offensive line
Year: Junior red t-shirt
Height: 6’6
Weight: 360 pounds
Native city: Vaitogi, American Samoa
High school: Timberlane
Before school: Navarro School (JUCO)
2023 statistics:
He redshirted a year after arriving from Navarro.
Projections for 2024:
No one knows how the new offensive line will develop, but Moeolo fits the size profile Fran Brown appears to be targeting for the position group. With experience and three years in a strong college program, Moeolo could compete for one of the tackle positions.
How did it get here?: Other offers included Colorado State, Hawaii and Georgia Southern.
What do recruiting sites say?: Three stars all around. He was considered one of the top 16 OTs in his JUCO class by On3, 247 and ESPN
Interesting nugget of interest: Vaitogi is known for the legend of turtle and sharka part of American Samoan folklore
Let’s take a look at you: Let’s check that JUCO tape.
