Bronny James had his workout with the Phoenix Suns at the team’s practice facility on Wednesday, sources told The Arizona Republic.
He wasn’t the only one there.
A handful of draft prospects participated in the workout with Villanova guard Mark Armstrong and West Virginia guard RaeQuan Battle having standout performances, sources said.
James was reportedly looking to train for the Los Angeles Lakers and Suns after passing workouts for several teams. LeBron James’ son had a heavy workout for the Suns, who put players through a variety of drills with a focus on shooting, sources said.
The Suns have the No. 22 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft June 26-27 in New York.
Armstrong was particularly impressive with his shot in practice after making just 28.2% of his three-pointers for the Wildcats last 2023-24 season. The 6-2 guard started 32 of Villanova’s 34 games, averaging 8.4 points. He led the team in assists with 83.
Battle averaged 16.1 points last season for the Mountaineers in 2023-24. The 6-5 guard shot 33.9% from 3 in his lone season with WVU after playing for Montana State.
Bronny James averaged 4.8 points in his first season at USC, shooting 26.7% from 3. He had a great performance at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.
