3 things we still don’t know about EA College Football 25

We learned quite a bit about College Football 25 in late May and early June.

I had the opportunity to play several games available and the experience left me very excited for the July 19 release.

While I’ve seen and experienced more than enough to know that College Football 25 will be a solid sports title, there are still some unanswered questions about the game.

How will Ultimate Team be used in College Football 25?

Details about Ultimate Team were planned to be revealed at College Football 25, but things changed and instead we received what seemed like an abbreviated version of the presentation.

We know that Ultimate Team in College Football 25 will feature current and former college players, but beyond that, only a little more is clear.

It seems safe to assume that users can dress their Ultimate Team in existing school uniforms. You’ll probably be able to unlock more uniforms. We hope to see pack openings and challenges that boost the experience.

Everything related to this Ultimate Team brand will be analyzed. Perhaps that’s why EA has been very secretive with the details. Stay tuned.

What are the real limitations of Player Editing Suite?

We discovered that users will not have full control over the templates as they did with the NCAA football series. Users can edit some aspects of the players, but EA did not share any details.

This functionality and its details are important to me and others who love dynasty mode.

Many want to know how much they can change in rosters, and that will determine how much ground the Team Builder website needs to cover to close the customization gap.

Will we see player rating updates throughout the year?

It’s great to see real players in the game for the first time. In my experience with College Football 25, it makes the entire game feel different.

With real players included, will we see updates to player ratings and roster changes due to real-life injuries and suspensions?

As we bring college sports gaming closer to the level of those based on professional leagues, the titles are expected to stay in tune with the real-life product.

I don’t envy the team responsible for handling player rating updates for 134 FBS schools, but I would enjoy the fruits of their labor and delight in the debates the changes often create.

Look for more definitive information on the game as we get closer to the release date.
